Meet NEHEMIAH

I’ve lived and raised my children here for over 30 years. I came to Minnesota after fleeing the civil war in Liberia to build a new life with my family. But when I lost my wife to gun violence in Brooklyn Park, I became a single father of three — a journey that deepened my commitment to creating safer neighborhoods, supporting families in crisis, and ensuring that no child feels forgotten in the community we call home.

A SAFE, THRIVING COMMUNITY

As someone who fled civil war and later lost my wife to gun violence, I understand the urgency of building safer neighborhoods. With experience in homeland security and emergency management, I’ll fight for proven, community-centered solutions that prevent violence, strengthen trust, and keep every family safe.

EDUCATION EXCELLENCE & YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

As a father, foster parent, and founder of a youth residential program, I’ve seen how trauma and instability can hold young people back. I’ll champion investments that support students, stabilize families, and ensure every child—especially those without a voice—has the opportunity to thrive.

LOWER TAXES, affordability & high-paying jobs

As a small business owner who rebuilt his life from adversity, I know how important good jobs and economic stability are for families. I’ll work to lower costs, support local entrepreneurs, and grow high-paying jobs so working families can build secure, thriving futures.
